All People,
All Cultures,
Music for All

Building a more diverse music industry, one voice at a time.

The Future Sounds Like All of Us

At Warner Music Group, we're transforming the industry by amplifying every voice, celebrating every culture, and creating music that moves the world forward. Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) isn't just an initiative—it's core to how we operate, from our workplace culture to our artist partnerships, from our talent development to our community impact.

Through leadership programs, ERG initiatives, global cultural celebrations, artist development, and community partnerships, we're building an industry where everyone can thrive. Because we know the best music comes when all voices are heard.

All People

Turning Up the Volume on DEI

You can't make good music without diversity — that blend of perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences that reflect the full human story. The same goes for the music industry. We need everyone’s voice to really sing. Warner Music Group is committed to an industry where every professional can thrive, every culture is celebrated, and everyone gets a shot at the mic.

Through mentorship, cultural awareness, and equitable career pathways for all, we’re driving change that resonates. Together, we’re fostering creativity, sparking collaboration, and building a more inclusive industry — creating a stronger music community for all.

Supporting Representation Across the Industry

Creating a better music industry means investing in people and programs that amplify all perspectives. Our mentoring programs, inclusive hiring practices, and industry partnerships are designed to turn the volume up on equity and open doors for underrepresented talent.

Here are a few of our initiatives that help bring new voices to the forefront:

  • Just like the best harmonies in music happen when we listen to each other, our mentoring partnerships create richer understanding on both sides. When senior leaders and emerging talent come together, they share perspectives and industry knowledge that help everyone grow.

  • Creating pathways into the industry starts with equitable hiring. We’re equipping hiring leaders with tools and education to ensure more inclusive hiring, giving talent from every background the opportunity to thrive.

  • In the U.S., our disability and neurodiversity ABLE ERG has teamed up with Yes I Can and Integrate Advisors to create career-building opportunities for neurodivergent interns, including mock interviews and hands-on support that sets them up for success.

  • In the U.K., we partner with organizations like Small Green Shoots and the Social Mobility Foundation to open doors for young people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, providing hands-on workshops to give them a head start in the music industry.

Empowering Women Across the Industry

All Culture

Building Community Through ERGs

Creating change begins with community. Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) offer support, education, and raise awareness across the company. Here’s how they help us grow and connect:

  • Celebrating and educating on the diversity of Asian/Pacific Islander cultures.

  • Fostering awareness, accessibility, and inclusion for people with disabilities and neurodivergence.

  • Supporting employees who are parents or caregivers.

  • Celebrating Jewish culture and addressing antisemitism.

  • Promoting Black culture and supporting Black employees in the industry.

  • Creating an inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ employees.

  • Celebrating Latino/a/x culture and voices.

  • Uniting diverse backgrounds to catalyze change.

  • Inspiring and supporting women at all levels within WMG.

An Inclusive Culture that Resonates

DEI is more than an initiative—it’s how we work. At Warner Music Group, DEI is central to how we create, connect, and collaborate in the industry.

  • DEI is woven into our flagship leadership programs like Top Line and Management Explored, ensuring our leaders foster inclusive, diverse workplaces. Every new hire in the U.S. undergoes DEI training to set a foundation of understanding from day one.

  • Our commitment to DEI spans continents. Recent DEI 101 sessions in Poland, Türkiye, Italy, and beyond equip our teams to champion inclusion. Offices organize events that address issues like LGBTQIA+ representation and the cultural impact of genres like rap and R&B. Our Be Inclusive series also supports religious diversity with 30+ guides to help celebrate religious holidays inclusively.

Celebrating Culture Beyond Single Moments

Our commitment to inclusion means celebrating diverse cultures and perspectives year-round. Here are just a few examples of how our teams around the world create meaningful moments that build understanding and community:

  • In Santiago, we marched in the city’s first-ever Pride parade.

  • In Paris, we partnered with nonprofit All Access Musique to host a panel discussion and performances centered around dismantling sexism in the music industry.

  • In Kuala Lumpur, we celebrated Hari Raya Aidilfitri (Eid al-Fitr), hosting a Raya open house event for 500 guests

  • In Los Angeles, we partnered with Pasifika Entertainment Advancement Komiti (PEAK) to showcase Indigenous Pasifika art and music to advocate for climate justice for IDWIP.

Investing in Communities

Supporting our communities is key to who we are. Each year, employees across the globe participate in volunteer events like Asia Day of Service to give back. Through our Social Justice Fund and partnerships with organizations like Willie Mae Rock Camp, the Little Tokyo Community Foundation, and the Classically Black Symposium, we work together to advance social justice, support underserved communities, and create more pathways into music.

Expanding Music Access for All

We believe in the transformative power of music. Through The Music Station Foundation in Spain, our employees engage with students from underprivileged areas, providing hands-on experiences in songwriting and recording. The foundation is developing video tutorials for teachers to expand access to these programs.

Music for All

Amplifying Every Voice

When it comes to music, every voice should be heard. That’s why we support programs and camps that elevate historically underrepresented voices in the industry, allowing talent to shine and thrive.

  • Headquartered in Germany and reaching across continents, SHE brings together world-class female hip-hop artists and producers, fostering a space for creativity and collaboration.

  • Partnering with MNEK, we host Proud Sounds to nurture the next generation of queer songwriters in the UK, providing mentorship from LGBTQ+ industry talents.

  • Kinfolk brings Black creators and WCM songwriters together to create music and make industry connections, supporting emerging voices in the process.

  • In collaboration with CreatiVets, this camp helps veterans share their stories through music, offering a therapeutic creative outlet.
