WE WANT OUR DEI EFFORTS TO BE PITCH PERFECT.

A one week intensive in partnership with Culture Creators that brings rising HBCU sophomores together at each of our four US offices for a comprehensive introduction to the music business, guidance on career development, networking, and hands on experience.

We partnered with Integrate Advisors to provide professional development for neurodiverse young professionals interested in the music industry. We also organized a working group exploring ways to best support neurodiverse employees in the workplace – from navigating benefits to offering trainings to changes to our physical environments.

Our UK office helps a range of diverse candidates break into the music business by offering a week-long experiential program that gives people practical experience working in the industry and the opportunity to build their portfolio.

Our UK team curated events in London, Manchester, and Belfast in partnership with organizations like Rio Ferdinand Foundation, Kiss FM, Cre8ing Vision, and NQ to inspires and engage the next generation of music industry professionals through a series of workshops, songwriting camps and production sessions, panels, and networking opportunities, focusing on young people of color and those from working class backgrounds.

We know that expertise and mentoring are a two-way street—especially when it comes to DEI. Mentoring remixed brings junior- and mid-level employees to the table with senior executives, allowing the junior employees to receive guidance, training, and skill-building from upper-level leaders while supporting business leaders to be more informed, inclusive and agile in hiring and management.

DEI Foundations is a 3-course virtual series that provides all employees with foundational knowledge and common language to better understand why diversity, equity and inclusion is core to advancing an equitable WMG culture. Courses include Bias, Interrupted, Courageous Communication, and Cultural Humility.

We offered tailored intro to DEI workshops in mainland China, Taiwan, and South Korea, exploring what DEI is, what it means in and for Asia, and how to build inclusive spaces. We also held ‘A World Without Sound,’ an experiential workshop for disability awareness month.

We bring together senior and executive leaders to build community, learn from leading experts about best practices, and discuss their experiences, challenges, and insights on how to drive DEI change across WMG.
